About Me
Born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay, I have a robust background spanning 11 years in the software industry and more than two decades as a graphic designer. I'm dedicated to pioneering innovation by integrating human-centered design principles, developing talented design teams, and creating products that are not only user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing but also aligned with business goals. I am adept at overseeing and facilitating effective collaboration among Design, Research, and Engineering teams.
My background encompasses a blend of technical understanding and design expertise. My Bachelor's degree in Computer Processing (2003) provides me with a good foundation in software development, while my degrees in Graphic Design (2005) and Industrial Design (2012), along with a Global MBA (2025), have honed my strategic design thinking and business acumen. This combination allows me to effectively bridge the gap between design, technology, and business objectives.
Throughout my career, I have consistently driven innovation by integrating human-centered design principles into a diverse range of products, spanning AI, enterprise SaaS, B2B, B2C, and B2G across various industries, including Food and Beverage, Fashion, Real Estate, Wellness, Government, Pharmaceutical, Medical Cosmetology, and Voice AI.
Having worked in agencies, startups, and technology companies, I've developed a strong capacity for adapting to various contexts. I excel at managing demanding deadlines, shifting effortlessly between detailed execution and effective delegation, and maintaining both a zoomed-in and zoomed-out perspective.
I'm deeply interested in volunteering for causes that promote gender equality. My personal experience navigating a male-dominated field and the challenges of being a woman in technology inspired me to found Mujeres IT, a community dedicated to women in tech.
Outside work, I enjoy playing video games, traveling, taking photos, and making creamy cappuccinos. Oh, and I'm learning Japanese.
